![]() ![]() :(Ĭan you describe what it is that you are not liking about your own recordings? Well, I guess guitar pedals is still the only way to go, unfortunately. But since my Focusrite Saffire Pro got built in preamps, that should not be the case, like you seem to agree with. ![]() In general, I considered I might be doing something wrong when connecting my signal to my DAW. ![]() I have lost my faith in digital effects for guitar and the purpose of this thread is trying to regain that faith (maybe by realizing I'm doing something wrong).ĭo you mean if I record without any effects into logic and then add effects in logic? I have tried everything. ![]() I don't think it has anything to do with logic. NI, Softube, and IK come to mind first. As long as I use MIDI instruments, it sounds great! But as soon as I record my own sounds (like guitar) and try to process it, it doesn't work. So curious how you're processing your guitar. Overall, I think Logic's fx are as good as any if not better than any DAW going. I have no idea how they sound because I've not used real one's before.Īre you recording dry and then processing? This is what I do, giving ample opportunity to really fine tune my fx chain and set it up properly be it insert or aux/buss sends. Hmm.I don't play/record guitar, but I have certainly recorded synths with Logic's pedalboard, and amp sims. ![]()
